Sensors in an autonomous vehicle has major role to play. They are the main input systems to central nerve system. To make completely autonomous under water vehicle, one needs to monitor the voltage levels, current consumption, temperature, pressure inside and outside the chamber, presence of water inside and outside the hull, presence of external supplies etc.
Sensor module is designed to collect all the data regarding the functions mentioned above para. Detecting the presence of water inside the pressure chamber is very important in an autonomous underwater vehicle. Specially designed water sensor logic has been introduced in this module. Two channels for measuring voltages and two channels for measuring current are provided. Apart from this measuring pressure inside and outside the chamber also provided. Supplies required for the voltage and current sensors are generated in the board.
